MARTINEZ, GA – Lee Benedict will formally announce his
candidacy for the Republican nomination for US Senate in 2016 at the monthly
meeting of the Pickens County TEA Party beginning at 6:30PM on Tuesday,
July 28th at Chattahoochee Technical College located at 100
Campus Drive, Jasper, GA 30143. Benedict, 47, was courted in 2010 to challenge
incumbent Senator John “Johnny” Isakson, but declined. The Columbia County
resident is stepping up now because he states that “the very liberal record of
Mr. Isakson is leaps and bounds from his conservative rhetoric”.
